High strength aluminium sheet are aluminum sheet alloys with tensile strength greater than 480 MPa, mainly Al-Cu-Mg and Al-Zn-Mg-Cu based aluminum alloy sheets, i.e. 2XXX (hard aluminum alloys) and 7XXX (super hard aluminum alloys) series alloys. High strength aluminum sheet are characterized by low density, high strength, good processing performance and excellent welding performance. The high strength aluminium sheet has many aluminum grades, which the highest strength aluminum sheet is 7075 aluminum sheet, which is generally used for CNC cutting parts, suitable for aircraft frame and high strength parts. 7000 series aluminum alloy contains zinc and magnesium elements, zinc is the main alloy element in this series, so the corrosion resistance is quite good. 7075 aluminum sheet has a compressive strength of 490MPa, tensile strength of 503MPa and yield strength of 323MPa, elastic modulus of 70GPa, elongation up to 22%, can better meet the aerospace and engineering machinery and equipment highly demanding strength requirements.

The corrosion resistance of 7075 high strength aluminium sheet is relatively good, and it is more resistant to corrosion under natural conditions. And its crystal particles are relatively small, can adapt to deep drilling without breaking. Also for this reason, its wear resistance is relatively good. Although it is mainly aluminum, the hardness is greatly improved by the addition of magnesium and copper. Also because of the addition of these metals, the tensile strength has been improved to a certain extent. After certain heat treatment, the strength characteristics of 7075 aluminum sheet are very objective, so it is also known as the best among aluminum alloys.
